Find Your Light Foundation Service Project 2023-2024

For the past eleven years, my Watson MST Kindergartners have participated in a service project benefiting Josh Groban's Find You Light Foundation. Working together for a special cause, my Kindergarten class and my Music Around the World Class, sold "Cookies for Quarters" at all of our music events here at Watson this year. My Music Around the World Class also sold dvds of their performance to help raise funds for this important service project, and in an effort to increase our funds, we hosted monthly events for our Watson Wildcats which benefitted our service project, as well. These included a movie night, Popsicles and the Playground event, Coke Floats and Coding event, Winter Wonderland Art Adventure afternoon, Sing-a-Long Sundae party, Candy Apples and Cartoons, Find Your Light Paint Night, and a Find Your Light Music Night and CookOut.  I am excited to announce that we made $5,600.54! That means in the eleven years that we have partnered with Josh's Find Your Light Foundation, we have made a total of $40,600.54! I can not wait to see how Josh Groban's Find Your Light Foundation can use this money to help students around the world who might not be blessed with the music opportunities that we have experienced here at Watson.  Thank you for allowing me the great privilege of working with your wonderful students and celebrating the universal language of music together. I had a wonderful time, and I look forward to watching our students as they continue to "Find Their Light" and "Shine On"! Here are some pictures from this exciting event and a highlight video of our 2023-2024 Find Your Light Foundation Service Project.

Happy Summer!

I cannot thank you enough for sharing your beautiful children with me this year! They have been such blessings to me, and I have learned so very much from them. I am proud to say that our children have thrived and not just survived Kindergarten! While I will miss each and everyone of them next year, I know that they are all going to make fantastic First Graders. I cannot wait to see them as they work hard to "Find Their Light!" Shine bright my little ones! Your mountain awaits!

Love, Miss Todd :)

Today we celebrated our accomplishments, our friendships, and our Watson Kindergarten family! Here are some pictures from our exciting day and a link to our slide show from the year:

Popsicle Party for Water Bottle Contest Winners

Dr. Mendoza and Miss Todd's Kindergarten Classes enjoyed a Popsicle Party for winning the Water Bottle Contest where we collected water bottles for our first responders. Thank you so very much for helping us to help others who do such important work in our community, and a very special thank you to Mrs. Bortz for the popsicles! Our Kindergartners loved them! STEAM School Career Day

We enjoyed one last STEAM School Career Day on Friday! We loved hearing about all of the exciting jobs that we could have one day when we grow up. We learned about being a flautist like Miss Todd, we got to meet Miss Todd's dog, Tucker's, vet, and we had so much fun visiting a snowcone truck. Check out our sweet pictures from our fun day:
