Olympic PBL

 We kicked off our Olympic PBL with our friend Reese's Dad telling us about his special adventure being a sound engineer for the NBC production of the Olympics in Paris, France. 

Then, we combined classes with First Grade and studied about some of the countries who have hosted the Olympics over the years including America, France, England, Japan, China, and Brazil. We learned about the countries' flags, traditional foods, unique landmarks, money, and interesting facts. After creating a book about our country, we also designed their flag and made our own special art to represent our country. Finally, we culminated our studies by creating our own commercial highlighting what we learned about our Olympic country. We hope you enjoy the pictures and videos from our Olympic PBL:

Candy Apples and Cartoons

    We enjoyed another exciting event benefitting our Find Your Light Foundation service project this week--Candy Apples and Cartoons! We stayed after school and created a sweet treat, while being entertained by silly cartoons. We had so much fun with our friends and were so glad to get to help our service project all while having a wonderful time! Here are some pictures from our amazing event! Enjoy!
