Garden Day

What a wonderful day we had outside enjoying our Watson MST Garden Day and just being with nature! It was such an interesting and peaceful day. Here are some of the amazing things we enjoyed learning about today: Parts of a Plant, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Taste Testing and Nutrition, Planting, Butterfly Gardens, Soil, Habitats and Native Prairies, and Composting. Special thank you to Mrs. Moore who led our Garden Day adventures. Her thoughtful planning made today so much fun! Thank you! Here are some pictures and a video from our fun day:

Greater Than and Less Than

This week in math we have been comparing quantities and talking about which group of items has more or less. We have enjoyed several exciting games and activities that have made learning about greater than and less than really fun for us. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy! Be sure and ask your sweet Kindergartner how to play these games at home.

Name Game--Compare the letters in your name to your friend's name to see who has more letters and who has less.

More or Less--Pull out a number card (1-10) and place that many pieces of candy on your ten frame. Whoever has the most wins. Then, you talk about who has less.

One More/One Fewer--Choose a number card (1-10) from a bag. Build that number on the ten frame. Then, spin the wheel to see if you need one more or one less. Remove one if you get one less and record the new number or add one if you get one more and record the new number.

Super Citizens

In Social Studies this week we reviewed what it meant to be a super citizen. Then, we used the Chatterpix app on our iPads to create our own video creations of us talking about how we are super citizens. These are so cute! We hope you enjoy them!
