We have been talking about the differences between needs and wants. We have learned that a need is something that you can not live without like food, water, shelter, and clothes. A want is something that you would like to have but could live without like toys. games, and even books. This week we had the opportunity to explore different items in our lives that are both needs and wants. We played a game where we drew pictures of objects and sorted them by needs and wants. Then, we used grocery ads to search for needs/wants. We created a mat that we used to sort items by needs/wants. Finally, we used the app Chatterpix where we took pictures of objects and made them talk, explaining whether they were a need or a want. Here are some pictures from our fun week.
