Gingerbread House Day

Wow! What an amazing day! We enjoyed an entire day celebrating the gingerbread man, and it was so much fun! :)

We started today with gingerbread stations. Our Kindergartners had the opportunity to rotate through three engaging activities where they were able to create their own gingerbread man, practice using their sight words with a gingerbread man color challenge, and make their very own home reader with positional words.

Then, we played roll and draw a gingerbread man where they were able to practice adding. Here are some pictures from this fun math game:

Finally, we culminated our fun day with Gingerbread House Day! We made gingerbread houses with our family, and Miss Todd was beyond impressed with the creativity that our houses showed! Here is a show and some pictures from these events! We hope you enjoy them!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

This week in Kindergarten we have been studying about winter in science. We have learned about what clothes you need to wear in winter, fun activities you can do in the winter, and things that animals do in the winter time. During the week we created several exciting winter art projects including winter people, sock snowmen, and painted snowmen.  Here are some pictures of our exciting activities and creations. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think of them!

We also enjoyed getting to create sock snowmen with our Second Grade friends from Mrs. Haley's class. Special thank you to Mrs. Haley's Second Graders who were so kind and patient to teach us how to make this exciting art project. Here are some sweet pictures and a video of our afternoon together. So much fun!
