Classroom Community

Our Kindergarten students and teachers are so very proud of the amazing classroom communities that our children built. During this class project based learning activity, our students learned that our community needed all different kinds of places, people, and things. We created five different categories of buildings that we needed. There were buildings for communication, safety, entertainment, health, and travel. Our students then chose a building that they thought was important and created it for our community. Then, we made a video on our iPads telling why that building was important to our community. Here are our classroom community shows. We hope you enjoy them! Leave us a message and tell us what you think!

Find Your Light Movie Night and Cook Out

While this year has provided us with many challenges and made our fundraising efforts especially tricky for our Find Your Light Foundation service project, my Kindergartners and my Watson family have helped to inspire us to be creative and continue to strive for success as we work hard to make a difference in our world! This week our Watson family blew us away with their support at our Find Your Light Foundation Movie Night and Cook Out! We had such a wonderful time enjoying each other's company and dining on delicious hamburgers and hot dogs, while taking in the beautiful movie, Beauty and the Beast. So much fun for such a great cause!

I am so blessed to have such an amazing Watson family who really stepped up and helped us make this event happen this year! I can not thank my Kindergarten teammates, Miss B and Dr. Mendoza, and my Find Your Light Foundation support team, Mr. and Mrs. Haley, Mr. and Mrs. Clements, and Coach Ashley and her whole family, enough for the love and support they showed all of us on Friday night! None of this would have been possible without you, and my kids and I are forever grateful to you!
