Fabulous Four Seasons

We have had so much fun learning about the fabulous four seasons this week. We have been singing about them, playing games about them, and creating trees from each season. Check out our beautiful seasons art and game pictures. For a special treat from this week, ask your child to sing the four seasons song! It's sure to bring a smile to your face. :)

Ten Black Dots

This week we enjoyed learning about the different ways that you can make ten. Check out this fun art project where we designed a picture using ten black dots. We made everything from butterflies to trains! Check them out:

Float Your Boat

This week we learned about Christopher Columbus. We studied about his contributions to our history and the many explorations he led. Then, we enjoyed an exciting STEAM opportunity where we created our own boats out of recyclable materials and tested them to see if they would float. Check out our amazing boats and a video of them in action:

You Are Enough! :)

It's Mental Health Awareness week at Watson MST, and we are celebrating you. We want you to know that you matter. You are loved, and you are enough. There is no one like you and our world needs you. Here is a video from our Wildcat Kindergartners sharing the many reasons why they are special and so are you:

Sequencing

This week in Social Studies we focused on sequencing. We began our study by talking about what events occur during different times of our day. (Morning, Afternoon, and Night) Then, we learned about day and night and how they are a pattern or sequence that repeat each day. We made our own day and night pictures and created a pattern video to showcase what we had learned. Finally, we learned how to sequence events using picture cards. You can see our videos and pictures below. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.

Friends of Ten

This week in math we studied about the numerals that when added together equal ten. We enjoyed watching an interesting video about the "Friends of Ten" and creating a "Friends of Ten" anchor chart to record what we had learned. Then, we created an exciting art project where we had to illustrate our own friends of ten and use them to make a beautiful rainbow. Check out these sweet pictures from our fun lesson below. Enjoy!
