In Social Studies this week we learned about maps and how they use symbols to represent places or locations on a map. We created our own maps of two of our favorite stories using their settings as landmarks for our symbols. Then, we practiced retelling our stories just for you! Check out these awesome pictures from our adventures in maps this week:

One Hundred Days of School
On Wednesday we celebrated the 100th Day of School! Can you believe that we have been in school for 100 days? Throughout the day we took pictures and made this show to give you a chance to see what fun and exciting things we did to celebrate the 100th day of school. Finally, we culminated our project based learning unit on the 100th Day of School by holding a fashion show. Our students dressed up in a t-shirt covered with 100 items. Then, they came to school and we showed them off by walking the red carpet in our creations. Here is a recording of this fun event. We hope you like it! Leave us a message and let us know what you think about our shows! Enjoy!
Fun Run
What a fun day we had running in our school's Fun Run! With each lap that we ran, we earned money for our school, which we plan to use to help pay for field trips! I am so excited to announce that Miss B's class came in First Place, Miss Todd's class came in Fifth Place, and Dr. Mendoza's class raised $60! That's wonderful, and we could not be more grateful for your help and support! After the Fun Run, we enjoyed our movie reward and a super delicious snack. These are the prizes that we won from our fundraising efforts. Here is an exciting video from our day! Check out how much fun we had and leave us a comment and let us know what you think!
