You've Got a Friend in Me!

Our Kindergarten and First Grade students recently had the privilege of hosting our very own PTA program. We enjoyed putting on an exciting show entitled, "You've Got a Friend in Me!" where we defined the meaning of friendship in our lives and encouraged others to go out into our world and spread love and kindness to others. Our kids did an amazing job, and I could not be more proud of them. Thank you for reminding us all about the power of sharing love and kindness with others! You lit up the stage and spoke to so many hearts that night! Here are a few video clips and pictures from our special night. I have also attached a link to our whole show!

For the past six years our Kindergartners have had the privilege of partnering with Josh Groban’s Find Your Light Foundation to make programs like this one possible for boys and girls in public schools across the United States. Josh recently wrote and recorded a song for his foundation entitled, “Granted” where he encourages our children to find their light within them and go out into the world and write their own story. This song encompasses all of the hopes and dreams that we have for our children, and it felt very fitting for our program. As you watch our slideshow together, may you know that we never take a single moment that we have with your precious children for granted. Here is our Watson MST version of “Granted.”
