Pumpkin Day
We ended our very busy week with a celebration of Pumpkin Day. After visiting the pumpkin patch, we culminated our first week of our PBL with a study of all things pumpkin. We enjoyed a story about the life cycle of a pumpkin and created a sentence strip story of what we had learned. Then, we estimated the circumference of a pumpkin and tested our pumpkin string to see if it was too short, too long, or just right, as it circled around our pumpkin. Finally, we reviewed our counting skills by counting pumpkin seeds. We had so much fun learning about pumpkins this week. We hope you enjoy these pictures from our fun day!
