What a wonderful day we had on our third day of STEAM School class for session two. We enjoyed Music Around the World, creating a rocket ship in our Lego Challenge, drawing storybook characters in Book Club and Character Doodles, solving codes in Digital Breakout, and coding in Tynker. On Thursday we celebrated the 100th Day of School! Can you believe that we have been in school for 100 days? Throughout the day we took pictures and made this show to give you a chance to see what fun and exciting things we did to celebrate the 100th day of school. Finally, we culminated our project based learning unit on the 100th Day of School by holding a fashion show. Our students dressed up in a t-shirt covered with 100 items. Then, they came to school and we showed them off by walking the red carpet in our creations. Here is a recording of this fun event. We hope you like it! During our study of systems this week, we talked about tall towers, bridges, and nests. We discussed what a building would need to have in order to withstand natural disasters and be a good structure for a home. Here are the towers that our children created in class this week. We have also included pictures of the bridges that we created and the nests that we made to try to save Humpty Dumpty from cracking when he fell off the wall.
