Find Your Light Paint Night

We had the privilege of partnering with an amazing artist from California, Timree, this week to work together to create our own beautiful versions of "Camping Under the Stars." Our Watson Wildcats met virtually through Zoom and enjoyed an evening of creativity and camaraderie. We had a wonderful time and were blessed to get to learn from the best at Timree! Our friend, Carol Mollett, the Executive Director for Find Your Light Foundation, made this event possible for our Watson Wildcats.  In total, we made $240 for our Find Your Light Foundation service project bringing us even closer to our end of the year goal of $5,000. We can not thank you enough for joining us this week and helping to support our service project! We appreciate you all and hope that you had a wonderful time! Having fun and helping others to Find Their Light...there's nothing better than that! :)

Here are some exciting pictures of our evening together. Check out our amazing artists here at Watson MST:

Rocking Rocks and Super Soil

This week in Science we enjoyed reviewing everything we have learned about rocks, soil, and water. We learned the uses of each of these natural resources and studied their characteristics.

While learning about soil, we created a circle map where we recorded the many uses of soil including to support plants, to create roads, and to create art. We also recorded what we could do with rocks and water in the journal entries below:

While learning about rocks, we created our own castles using cereal. We had such a wonderful time making them! We learned that rocks can be used for buildings, home, jewelry, and roads.
