Veteran's Day Walk

On Friday, we had the great honor of celebrating our veterans with a Veteran's Day Walk. We waved our American flags as they walked past us and then serenaded them with the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "America the Beautiful." We hope that they know how much we love and appreciate them! We thank them for their service to our country!

STEAM School Career Day

Our STEAM School Session 1 experience culminated with a special visit from a real life musician, Miss Angelene Shultz. Miss Shultz is the assistant orchestra director at Austin Academy here in Garland ISD. She is very special to our teacher, Miss Todd, because she plays the violin in the orchestra Miss Todd plays in.  Enjoy some pictures and videos from our special experiences with Miss Shultz today:

Heating and Cooling Never Tasted So Good

This week in science we had a wonderful time exploring the world of heating and cooling. We even made a tasty treat during our studies. Who knew that science could taste so good!

We started our week by creating ice chalk. We mixed together the ingredients we needed and poured the mixture into ice cube trays. Then, we placed it in the freezer to cool. The next day we were able to play with our ice chalk. It was messy but so much fun!
